Slender Mole Sauce

This sugar free and flavorful mole sauce is easier to make scratch thank you may think. Make a batch to kick up the flavor of grilled skirt steak or protein of your choice.

Ingredients
4 cups vegetable broth
5 tomatillos, chopped
2 large tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 gaujillo chilies, stemmed and seeded
2 pasilla chilies, stemmed and seeded
2 ancho chilies, stemmed and seeded
5 garlic cloves
10 garlic cloves
3 sticks cinnamon
2 tablespoons cumin
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
  1. In a blender, mix all ingredients, except Slender Hot Cocoa, until fully combined.
  2. Place in pot on medium-low heat, allow for mixture to reduce for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add Slender Hot Cocoa and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  4. Serve as a marinade or sauce with your favorite protein.
