Rosemary Freekeh Side Dish

If you’re in a food rut, or just want to try something new and a little different, then this fragrant and flavorful Rosemary Freekeh side is just what the doctor ordered. Cook up your favorite freekeh (such as NOW Real Food® Organic Freekeh), let it cool, then add in honey-roasted pecans, apricots, macadamia nut oil, rosemary and salt. Super-delish!
Ingredients
1 1/4 cup
water
1/2 cup
Freekeh
1/4 cup
Honey-Roasted Pecans
1/8 cup
Apricots, Unsweetened & Organic
1 tablespoon
Macadamia Nut Cooking Oil in Glass Bottle
1 teaspoon
rosemary, finely chopped
1/8 teaspoon
salt
Directions
- Place water and freekeh in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 20 to 25 minutes, until water has been completely absorbed.
- Cool for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
- Toss cooled freekeh with honey-roasted pecans, apricots, macadamia nut oil, rosemary and salt.
- Serve and enjoy!
