Get your caffeine kick without the jitters when you wake up and whip up this tasty frozen green tea latte! It’s the perfect treat on a hot day or a special something on a winter day when you are dreaming of sunshine and days at the lake. Our friends at Veg News created this recipe to use as an alternative to morning coffee or even as a vegan dessert. Like they say, it’s yummy, healthy, and energizing!
Ingredients
½ cup
water
⅔ cup
unsweetened oat milk
1 tablespoon
chopped fresh mint
1 tablespoon
Maple Syrup, Organic Grade A Amber Color
1 cup
ice
vegan whipped cream
Directions
- Boil water. Add tea bags and let steep 10 minutes. Discard tea bags and allow tea to cool completely.
- Into a blender, add tea, oat milk, mint, maple syrup, and ice. Blend until creamy.
- Top with vegan whipped cream and serve.
Pro tips:
- For an extra creamy version, use frozen oat milk cubes instead of ice.
- Want a super-green frozen latte with even more nutrition? Add a handful of spinach when blending.
- Any vegan milk will work in this recipe, but we loved oat milk and coconut milk the best!
