De-Bloat Mocktail: Papaya Mint Cooler

We all get bloated from time to time. So what can we do? Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and NOW’s Wellness Partner, DJ Blatner, created this De-Bloat Mocktail, a Papaya Mint Cooler, that’s a great go-to drink anytime you feel bloated or after a big meal. Why? Papaya has a naturally occurring digestive enzyme called papain, which helps support digestion* and peppermint tea is great to always have on-hand as it has been traditionally used to soothe the digestive tract. Cheers!

Ingredients
6 ounces almost boiling water
8 ice cubes
Directions
  1. Put papaya lozenges in a bag and with the back of a spoon crack them into a very fine, almost powder-like consistency.
  2. In a glass, add the lozenge powder, tea bags, and hot water.
  3. Steep for 4 minutes and remove tea bags.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, add ice and pour in hot tea. Cover and shake until cold.
  5. Pour into a glass & pop in a papaya spear for edible garnish.
