What is Female Balance formulated for?

Female Balance contains wild yam, which I have heard is an herbal contraceptive. Is this true?
No. Female Balance nutritionally supports healthy female balance before the onset of menstruation, but has no contraceptive effects.* Components of wild yam can only be converted to contraceptives in a laboratory, but not in the human body.
The safety of wild yam during pregnancy and breast feeding has not been established.
