In Your 20s

Popping pimples can lead to scarring and discoloration of the skin. Acne scars that you create in your 20s can still be visible when you reach your 30s or even 40s.
Look for products to balance your skin that won’t cause future breakouts.

In Your 30’s

By the time you reach your 30s, your collagen production has begun to drop off by one percent each year. Plus, signs of aging like wrinkles and dark circles usually start to show.
Use an eye cream, because under-eye skin is 40 percent thinner than the rest of the skin on the face, so it is one of the first areas to show aging.

In Your 40’s

In your 40s, your skin tone can become dull and less even. Because of hormonal changes, you may notice more dryness and discoloration.

In Your 50s+
In your 50s and 60s, the cell renewal process is very slow and older, duller cells stay on the skin’s surface longer.

At this age, use retinoid or retinol-alternative products to help keep the skin looking more firm. Using a heavy moisturizer is best because the skin barrier becomes drier with age.
