My name is Tim Bomgren

I’m a professional beach volleyball player from Minnesota.  I’m not your typical beach volleyball player as I didn’t grow up on the shores of a beach and I didn’t even begin playing competitive volleyball until I went to college at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.  I was president of the men’s volleyball team for a couple years there before slowly transitioning to beach volleyball in the summers and on my free time. 

It began slow, playing local competitive tournaments and as we (until 2018, I always played with my older brother, Brian) began to see some success we would start to branch out.  By this I mean we would travel to Wisconsin for volleyball tournaments, then to Chicago and then we earned a few trips to other states with our success.  Then the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) came out of bankruptcy in 2012 and we started following the tour in 2013.  It took a few years of qualifier tournaments to break through and to be consistently in the main draw. 

Fast forward a few years and I have now been to three AVP finals, however, I am still looking for my first victory!  I continue to live in Minnesota and travel throughout the summers pursuing my beach volleyball passion along with being a husband and a dad of 3 amazing kids.  I’m humbled and honored to be a #NOWAmbassador and I’m confident that these products will help bring my game to the next level.
