Hey there! I’m Carmen Del Mastro
Sports Performance Coach at Bracey Performance in Chicago. I've dedicated my profession to not only coaching but educating athletes of all levels to meet and exceed their individual goals. I discovered my passion for strength and conditioning following my Division I baseball career. Pulling from my own past experiences, I take pride in helping athletes overcome any barriers they face throughout training and competition.
From my experience as an MSBC Thrive Fitness Director to training with an Exercise Physiologist at Zarett Rehabilitation, as well as being a Drexel University Health and Wellness Specialist, I have developed an eye for detail and an understanding for the qualities that improve athletes’ speed, acceleration, and agility while also focusing on future injury prevention. Previously, I worked with the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) as the club’s Assistant Sports Performance Coach. The Red Stars and their players are near and dear to my heart, and I still train many of them in their off-seasons!
I’m a native of Philadelphia, PA and come from a boxing family. I attribute my athleticism, drive and grit to my father, a professional boxer, who began training me at a very young age. I stayed local for college and was a four-year middle infielder for Temple University’s Division I Baseball team, where I led the NCAA for the fewest strikeouts (2009). I was also named as the Mountain Collegiate MVP (2008). I graduated from Temple with a BA in Journalism in 2010.
