What are Colloidal Minerals?

Colloidal minerals are ancient mineral nutrients that are extracted from shale deposits formed through the decomposition of prehistoric plant life.

Almost all colloidal mineral supplements are taken from shale deposits in Utah or neighboring areas.

What makes Colloidal Minerals different from other mineral nutrients?

The microscopic size of fossilized minerals makes them highly bioavailable in humans.* Also, many of the minerals found in colloidal minerals have been greatly depleted, or are completely absent from soil today, meaning that it’s harder for us to obtain these mineral nutrients from our diet. Soil depletion, lack of seaweed and seafood in the diet, and over-processing of foods all contribute to the lower trace mineral composition of people’s diets, so supplementation is a good way to obtain optimal levels of these nutritionally important minerals.

How are Colloidal Minerals processed and what is the mineral and heavy metal content?

Once colloidal minerals are extracted, the minerals are washed and filtered for purity. This filtration process also helps remove heavy metals from the finished product.
