Scientifically Backed Triple Strength L-Carnitine
Clinical Studies Done to Support the Following Claims
NOW Sports uses Carnipure®, a patented form of L-Carnitine that has been clinically tested.
Moderate 5-Week Exercise Training Program Study
Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial; 80 participants (age 21-65 years).
Results: Supplementation with L-Carnitine significantly improved perceived recovery and soreness and significantly decreased serum creatine kinase compared to placebo.*1
Cycling Study
Double-blind, placebo-controlled, pair-matched parallel design; 15 healthy, endurance-trained men (age 23-44 years).
Results: During the Day 15 trial, heart rate and blood glucose concentration were significantly lower during exercise in the L-Carnitine supplemented group compared to placebo.*2
Skeletal Muscle and Exercise Performance Study
Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial; 15 healthy, recreational male athletes (age 23-28 years).
Results: Supplementation with 2 g L-Carnitine increased skeletal muscle total carnitine content by 21% compared to baseline; this was unchanged in control.* Also, the L-Carnitine supplemented group utilized 55% less muscle glycogen and showed 44% lower muscle lactate content compared to control.*3
