Significant and notable improvements in eye fatigue*

Improving Eye Dryness and Fatigue Study*

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled; 74 adults (aged 30-60 years) with subjective eye dryness, fatigue associated with screen use 4 hours or more per day.

Results: MaquiBright® group exhibited a significantly higher tear fluid generation compared to the placebo group at 4 weeks before playing video game.* After playing video game, the MaquiBright® group showed significant increase of tear fluid in the left eye and non-dominant eye.* MaquirBright® group exhibited a significant improvement before playing video game at 4 weeks after intake for symptoms of eye fatigue and of stiff shoulders.* After playing video game, the MaquiBright® group demonstrated a notable improvement in eye fatigue at 4 weeks after intake and in stiff shoulders.*1

Significant decrease in errors, simple reaction time, fatigue, and daytime sleepiness*

Mental Alertness, Fatigue and Energy Study*

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over using standardized tests (Symbol Digit Coding test, Shifting Attention Test, Stroop Test, Alertness Rating Scale); 62 healthy adults (aged 18-55 years).

Results: A significant increase from baseline in the enXtra group as compared to placebo in the following:

  • Correct Responses at 0.5 and 2-hour Points*2
  • Alertness Score at 2 and 5-hour Points*2
  • Energy Score at End of Study (6-7 hours post dose) *2

A significant decrease from baseline in the enXtra group as compared to placebo in the following:

  • Errors at 1-hour Point*2
  • Simple Reaction Time at 2 and 5-hour Points*2
  • Fatigue Score at End of Study (6-7 hours post dose) *2
  • Daytime Sleepiness at 1, 2 and 5-hour Points*2
Sustained Alertness*

Validated Safe Driving Attention Study*

Single-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled using Attention Network Test; 70 healthy adults who were habitual caffeine users (aged 18-40 years).

Results: enXtra showed a significant increase in alertness score in comparison with the placebo at 3 hours and 5 hours indicating sustained alertness.*3

Significantly Increased Alertness*

Mental Alertness and Sustained Attention Study*

Single-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross over; 59 healthy adults who were moderate caffeine users (aged 18-40 years).

Results: enXtra showed a significant increase in alertness score in comparison to baseline at 1h, 3h, and 5h post exposure. enXtra also showed significant increase in alertness score in comparison to placebo.*4

Significantly Reduced Damaging Effects of Glare.*

Open Label Macular Pigment Optical Density (MPOD) Study

Open label; 40 healthy adults (average age 23.9 years).

Results: After 6 months of lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation, average MPOD had increased and was shown to significantly reduce the deleterious effects of glare for the visual performance tasks assessed.*5
