Soothing Skin Balm

This DIY beauty recipe is perfect for creating a soothing skin balm that can be used to relieve dry, chapped skin. The cocoa butter, beeswax, and lanolin all have moisturizing properties, while the coconut oil and vitamin E oil help to nourish the skin. The calendula oil adds a touch of aromatherapy to the balm.

Ingredients
½ cup Cocoa Butter
1 tablespoon Organic Beeswax
1 tablespoon Lanolin, Pure
1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
1 teaspoon Calendula Oil
1 glass jar with an airtight lid
Directions
  1. In a double boiler melt cocoa butter, beeswax, lanolin, and coconut oil until just melted.
  2. Remove from heat and mix by hand until combined.
  3. Add vitamin E oil and calendula oil.
  4. Mix by hand to combine.
  5. Pour into an airtight glass jar and place in fridge to cool.

To Use:

Scoop out balm with a dry spoon or utensil of choice. Gently massage onto area of body in need of soothing. 

Caution: Not for internal use. Avoid contact with eyes. Consult healthcare practitioner before using if pregnant/nursing.
