Three Ways to Improve Your Mood*

Anxious feelings, sadness, and daily stress can be a part of life, but when these feelings engulf every second of every day, that’s a major red flag. That’s why it’s important to do everything we can to protect our mental health as naturally as possible with foods, supplements, and other wellness practices.*

Check out Dr. Will Cole’s three ways to help improve your mood.

1. Supplement with L-Theanine

This amino acid binds to glutamate and NMDA neurotransmitter receptors in the brain and positively affects levels of serotonin, GABA, and dopamine, to help promote relaxation while maintaining alertness and promoting healthy cognitive function.*

2. Sip on Chamomile Tea

I like to call this “comfort in a cup.” Chamomile tea offers a smooth, mellow flavor that makes it ideal for zapping the stress out of your day and/or unwinding before bedtime.

3. Try Breathwork

Under stressful conditions, breathing gets shallower, which only feeds anxious feelings. Focused breathwork can be a great tool to bring you back to the present moment whenever you feel overwhelmed. Start with a few deep breaths, and you can always reference a variety of breathwork and meditation apps. I also like to set the mood by diffusing a calming essential oil.
