Tori Franklin

I am a professional triple jumper sponsored by Nike and I am the current Indoor and Outdoor American Record holder for the event. I dreamed of running track and field from a young age and was ecstatic to finally have a chance in the 6^th grade. High jump remained my focus through Jr. High School until the horizontal jumps coach recognized my speed and long legs during my freshman year of high school. I went on to become State Champion in my Junior year.

From there I went on to continue my career at Michigan State University where I acquired the Indoor and Outdoor School records as well as the Big Ten Championship Records. I competed in multiple events in college. The 400m, 4x400m relay, the 200m, and the 4x100m relay. It wasn’t until I graduated in 2015 that I began to specialize in the triple jump.

I competed on my first senior team at the 2017 Outdoor World Championships in London where I placed 13^th, just barely missing out on finals. I qualified for my first 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo. Though I didn’t medal, I learned so much and built on my strengths 2022 World Championships where I became the first American Woman to ever medal in the triple jump in an International Championship.
